Dr Peter O'Leary

Peter O'Leary is Director of the Office of Population Health Genomics in the West Australian Department of Health, a Clinical Biochemist and Adjunct Professor of Public Health. Dr. O'Leary and his team are responsible for evaluating genetic technologies and developing genetic health policy through clinical, community and academic networks. His clinical interests have focused on population screening with a particular emphasis on newborn metabolic screening, prenatal fetal anomaly screening and genetic testing. Dr O'Leary is actively involved with inter-jurisdictional, government and professional working groups. His efforts are currently directed at the translation of genetic health policy into improved population health.
